Welcome to 2026!
We’re officially a week in and so far, I’m tracking with my goals. But, maybe, like me, you start off strong and in a couple of months (or weeks…or even days) you find yourself back in the old habits again.
It’s difficult to keep the pace when we set unrealistic expectations of ourselves. But, what if, instead of striving in our own power, we listened first? What if we leaned on God with our full weight, acknowledging our weakness? Would things look different at the end of 2026?
In Psalm 32:8, God tells us this: I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.
Have you created new aspirations for 2026? I’d love to hear what they are! Reply to this email or comment on the post at the link above.
James Clear, author of Atomic Habits, says that goals are not long-lasting change agents. Instead, he suggests that we focus on creating new systems that will lead to new results. So, let’s work on a few new systems to help us be more productive in 2026. It’s a work in progress. We won’t get it right every time.
But, small course corrections along the way will lead us to a different destination.
Upcoming in 2026:
- When darkness surrounds you and hope feels like a distant memory, where do you turn? Hope in the Darkness: A 30-Day Devotional Journey takes you on a transformative discovery through Jeremiah, revealing the golden threads of hope woven throughout the prophet’s words. Each daily reading combines relatable personal stories, clear biblical explanation, and practical application. You’ll recognize that the same God who promised hope in those ancient days is the same God who offers to light the way through our darkness. COMING MARCH 2026.
- Would you like to be a BETA-READER for my upcoming devotional? I would love to offer you the first chance to read Hope in the Darkness. Reply to this email with “BETA-READER” in the subject line and I’ll add you to the list.
- COMING SOON: Have you ever wanted to read the Christian Classics but you didn’t know where to start? Maybe you’re intimidated by the idea of reading C. S. Lewis or Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Recently, a friend of mine from a writer’s group were discussing how much we wanted to read classic books, but have never taken the time. We decided that doing things in community is always better…so…Well-Worn Pages Book Club was born. This year, we will read 4 classic Christian books and invite you to join us as we discuss the book. If that sounds like something you’d be interested in… CLICK HERE and receive a 2026 Reading Checklist. I’ll be sure to email you with information!
For His Glory,
